We received the
shipment and the motility was great! We inseminated on Wed., then
checked yesterday and she had ovulated...so we hit it with great
timing.
Thanks again,
Karen
Hay!
Here is a baby picture of NGL x She's
Moonstruck at maybe a month?
LSF Moonlight Becomes You
Think she's shedding out choc palomino.
You should see her sliding stops......I'm not
kidding, she's unbelievable.....I'm going to try and get her on
tape when we get out of monsoon season....I've never had a foal
so QUICK and AGILE!!!!
Love her to bits.
Hope all is well with you. Feel free to use
this, or others I've sent, on your website.

Hi Chris,
LenaSpecial Attitude, "Magnum", was born
on March 15th, 2004. I had purchased the sorrel reining /cutting mare,
San Olena Smoke, already in foal to Cals Special Edition. A
stallion I knew nothing about. What a nice colt I got this spring.
Very correct and what a terrific personality! He is a bright sorrel,
with a star and snip with a narrow line between the two, plus 3
socks. We have already paid our booking fee for another year and another
"Casey" baby. This time to, The Great Smokeout, a brown Peppy
San mare. Thanks again for all the hours of conversation on the phone,
the literature and the video and for putting Magnum's photo on your website.
I look forward to working with you again.
Hey Chris,
Just wanted to wish you a Happy New Year and let you know our
5 year old "Badger" just gave our grandkids their first
Christmas visit rides. As you know he was our second colt from
our breeding with Casey and I wanted to tell you how exceptional
these babies have been. I guess we have had three now and one in
the "oven". Badger is the calmest, most loveable guy we could
possibly ask for...just curling around the 8,10 and 12 year olds
and practically giving them hugs. (he got lots of hugs too). The
coming two year old is just as nice, and the
personality to go with his half brothers (different mares,
but same attitude). I have a new 2 month old granddaughter and I
think we will keep the two year old "Duster" for her !
Had to sell that palomino colt, heard he made a heck of
roping horse (ridden by a 80 year
old!) I am sure the baby this year will be every thing the
others have been, except with some
luck, hoping for a filly this time!
Anyway wanted you to know what wonderful horses these babies
have been. My testament
to Casey's offspring being top horses is undeniable... plus
since we live on a main highway
you can't believe how many people have asked if they are for
sale, leaving notes on my door after 4 years of watching our
Badger grow up...of course he isn't for sale. :)
You and Casey have a wonderful year, we'll let you know when
the baby is born.

Christine,
This little fella has
developed such a great personality the past week and a half. HE is
constantly at my side, no matter where I go. His Mama lets him roam
the pasture with the big 'kids' and he thinks now he has to be in
the same stall with our miniature horse and mini donkey at feeding
time. It is so cute!! I'll have to snap some pics of the 3 of them
munching away!!!
Thanks much!!
Hi!
Guess who showed up June 8th
at about 7PM? Up on her feet nursing all by herself in 1/2 hour.
That's a personal best for me! She *loves* life and is a true
delight. Chris, I couldn't be more thrilled with her, she is
something special. Thanks for making her come to us.
More pics later!
Lynn
Hi,
I’m
guessing you didn’t get my last email….wonder if you will
get this one, can you let me know if you do? J
I’d like to send you some picture of Lighthouse
Lindy…she has far exceeded my
expectations from the video Linda sent me.
I
just adore her!
By
the way, how tall is Iceman? Lindy
looks like she’s headed for 15.1 or 2 easily.
Best!
Lynn
Hi
Chris,
We
took the Lucy up to Cornell and at 41 days the little foal
nodded it’s head on the ultrasound so it’s saying “Yeah, baby!”
The repro vet said we should always order semen from CA because
they are such good swimmers out there…..Is Iceman near water???

Finally Marin Madonna presented us will a gorgeous
palomino filly by
Nashboro Gallant Lad. We can't be more pleased with her. She has a
irregular
star with connected narrow strip and connecting snip. One white hind
foot
and legs a mile long! I dreamed I would get a long legged one, and she
is a
dream come true!
Teri
Christine,
Just want to let you know that Casey is the father of a gorgeous
boy...his coloring looks Palomino, but with a light pink touch.
Dixie aka Justa Chocolate Chic, foaled on June 20. He was strong
and very well-muscled. He is much smaller than our other filly, but
is fast and sound. We named him Diesel, like the actor, Vin
Diesel, or my favorite, the big truck.
Very nice foal...he already leads, wears his fly mask, lets his feel
be cleaned,
We are thrilled with our little guy...really pretty head, too.
Thanks,
Karen
Hi Christine,
Bob just told me that he had forgotten to drop
you a line on Saturday to let you know that our Morgan mare, Faline,
was checked "in foal" with a very nice looking 20-day pregnancy to
Gallant Lad. YEAH!! Job well done! I think Bob may have told you the
semen only made it as far as Albany, NY which is about a two and a
half hour drive from home. Perhaps it contributed to the success!
Also, the road trip gave some "girl time" to my friend and I. The
pregnancy check was held off 'til 20 days due to the vet's
scheduling conflicts and the mares tendency to drop more than one
egg at a time so they wanted to confidently rule out twins.
Middlebury Large Animal Clinic, who provided the
veterinarian services, was very impressed by the level of
professionalism and experience you had demonstrated throughout this
breeding venture. I thank you for all you have done to get us the
semen in an exact and timely manner. I am so excited at the prospect
of a Gallant Lad baby!! We will have the mare rechecked at 45 days
and I will drop you a line to let you know of the status of the
pregnancy.
Thanks again for all your efforts,
Kerry
Hi Chris,
It's been a while since I updated
you on Cals Constellation aka Connie. She got a later start then we
hoped for due to my dad having heart surgery late fall of last year.
However, I can't believe how smart she is. Never bucked, never
kicked, never offered any hesitation whatsoever when the saddle come
out. By nature has a very "cocky" attitude, but once your in the pen
with her she's like a ball of putty, wants you to mold her! We did
not ground drive her, just worked a lot with her on flexing and
pressure. The first time she was mounted was bareback with no halter
and just stood there. The first formal training under saddle, she
took off like a pro. Which I believe with her smarts she
incorporated that with all the pressure and flexing work we done
with her. It was like someone had been riding her for years. That's
no joke! We have our own stud and rarely breed to outside studs, but
at this rate, I'm wanting another Casey baby! We have a buy pending
on a super nice Tanquery Gin daughter that would make a awesome
cross with Casey! I'll keep you updated with pix soon of Connie.
Thanks,
Margo
Dear Chris,
I want to thank you for such a successful breeding. The
semen arrived by 10 AM and we bred at noon. The sperm had about 75%
motility and looked great. My mare was just perfect to be bred so we are
feeling very good about the whole thing. My vet commented on how good
the semen was. She will be bred again tomorrow morning just to be safe.
This is my first time to use shipped semen and I am thrilled with the whole
process. Now all we can do is pray for a pregnancy when she's checked in
17 days! Thanks again for everything.
Amanda
Hey Chris,
I inseminated my mare on Friday and
she is out of heat as of last night. I believe I got the semen into her
at the exact "right" time. I can't thank you enough for
shipping to me on such short notice and without even so much as a grumble!
I have told every mare-owner I know about your terrific attitude and
willingness to work with me and how great I think your stallions are.
Perhaps next year, a couple of them (the mare owners) will be booking to one
or both of your boys.
Again, thank you so much!!!
Tanya
Chris-
It has truly been a pleasure working with you and Cals Special Edition
over the past 2 years. We have never had an experience this satisfying
in the 10 years that we have been breeding horses. Not only is the semen
always of exceptional quality, you are a jewel to work with! We once
tested the semen just for the fun of it after 4 days in the Equitainer
and it was still at 60 percent motility!!! Our veterinarians always
remark how good the semen is when they open the container. And best of
all-WE LOVE OUR FOALS! Not only are they put together great, but they
are as genetically sound as they possibly can be, and have GREAT
dispositions. Chris-keep up the good work. We will keep coming back year
after year.
Georgia
Hi Chris,
Hopefully you'll receive this a little faster than last year.
Feathers had a
gorgeous palomino colt on the 16th. The mare's mother was a beautiful
palomino,
this guy is a real cutie, I'll mail some photos later with the yearling from
last year.
Casey did a good job, they are both outstanding colts.!!

Merrill, OR
Hello Chris,
I have a really nice palomino filly by Casey born on April
7th.
I have started my two year old and he is going great.
One of the easiest
two year olds I have started in a long time. Pleasant to be around, but
with
some sting and ability.
Thank you,
Margaret
Chris,
I want to commend you on what a great job you did last year with all my
mares. 100% got bred and had nice babies. You took excellent care of
them too! Thanks again.
